Want to Know Where Women Go to Learn About Money? The Aspen Society

September 08, 2021

Who knew that offering a place for women to have 100% frank, smart discussions about money would be so popular?

We did.

In May, we launched the Aspen Society — a forum for women to discuss finances openly with their peers and gain confidence in making, keeping and investing their money. Just a few months later, 150 women have joined our Aspen Society group on LinkedIn, and we are closing in on our next milestone to have 200 members.

Our first event, part webinar/part power lunch, was a preview of the type of work we will do together: looking at how money decisions affect your life and putting plans in place to use your money to have the life you want. This is the mission of BFS Advisory Group, and we strive to achieve this goal with all clients. But statistics tell us that women fall behind men in financial confidence. We want to change that.

Because the Aspen Society is a product of the women involved, we polled the group to determine the topic for our second event. One of the resounding themes was “Investment Strategies in Our New Normal.”  With so many changes to the investment world recently, women wanted to know: Where are the risks and opportunities? And am I still on track?

Along with Luke Trammell from Capital Group, we will discuss the evolving dynamics of today’s financial markets, how those dynamics may affect the success of your financial plan and the opportunities that investment managers see in 2030.

We know that women of all ages, backgrounds, and goals want to be confident in their financial plans and the decisions they make to pursue their goals.

Do you need support in this effort? RSVP for the September event.
